Embark on an epic Jeep Safari adventure from the vibrant town of Manali to the mesmerizing landscapes of Leh. This journey will take you through some of the most challenging yet rewarding terrains in the world, offering breathtaking views, remote villages, high mountain passes, and a true sense of adventure.
In the evening from Delhi catch the AC Volvo coach departing for Manali scheduled at 17:30 PM. It will be an overnight voyage. You will reach Manali at around 7 AM in the morning, here you will meet our representative who will assist you and transfer to the hotel. After relaxing at the hotel for some time take a local sightseeing tour of Manali to visit and explore various places of the striking hill station like Van Vihar, the Hadimba Devi Temple, and the Tibetan Monastery. Later in the evening time, you can roam near Mall road. We will be staying tonight at a hotel in Manali.
Today morning after breakfast drive to Sarchu via Rohtang Pass & Baralacha. This is the beginning of our exciting trip which passes through the mountains and moves into the lap of the Himalaya. Overnight stay in tents.
On this day, in the morning, we will head in the direction of Jispa, which is located about 135 kilometers away from Manali. Initially, we will drive straight up the hill to reach the Lahaul Valley. And then from here we will proceed downhill towards Koksar, a small village in Lahaul valley. After reaching the Lahaul valley, we will be visiting Gandla and Sissu, the two prominent attractions of this region. Later as the valley opens up, the view of the magnificent cave monasteries starts getting apparent. After continuing the ride for about 7 kilometers, we will reach Tandi to witness the convergence of Bhaga River and Chandra River. Then after covering a distance of 32 kilometers we will reach our destination Jispa. We will have delicious dinner and stay tonight in Jispa.
After witnessing and exploring the desolate territory, now it is the time to see the sights and explore for some verdant areas. This day, we will be crossing the high altitude mountain passes, Lachalung La (4850 Meters), Naki La (4740 Meters) and Baralacha La (4900 Meters), to reach our destination Tsokar. The thoroughfare, going from Lachalung La, begin to get a little curvy as it makes its way all the way through an astonishing canyon with precipitous cliffs and rocky projection looming on the both sides of the way. Further, we will drive straight up the hill to reach the Pang Plateau, also well-known as the More Plains located at an elevation of (4617 Meters). We will have scrumptious dinner and stay tonight at Tsokar.
A fun filled and an electrifying day full of excitement awaits you. As on this day, we will be making the way all the way through Tanglang La (5300 Meters), the world's 2nd highest motorable road. From Tanglang La, we will continue the journey and drive straight downwards to reach Karo and then from the here head towards our destination of the day Thaktok. We will have delectable dinner and stay tonight at Thaktok.
Today we will start the day with a gradual gradient to reach the Wari La Pass at an elevation of (5303.52 meters). From the pass, the road gets a little curvy, but this thrilling and nerve-wrenching experience is truly a visual delight for the travelers and is worth for all the efforts. After traveling across the mountain passes, we will start moving downhill, while savoring the superb panorama of the Karakorum ranges. After a short one hour drive will reach Aghyam, which is a remote small village and a must visit the region. After a halt of about 15 to 20 minutes in Aghyam, we will start moving ahead and make way to Khalsar- which is the junction point for Khardung La and Nubra. Khalsar is a small township in Shyok Valley, situated near on the banks of pristine River Shyok. On the way, the road at sometimes is uneven with sandy slopes, which make the journey tremendously exciting and adventurous. We will set up the camp at Khalsar and stay here for the night.
On this day, we will initially head for Diskit, after a driving for a distance of 20 kilometers from Diskit, we will reach Diskit Gompa, a prehistoric monastery which was constructed in 1420 AD. Then afterward, driving for about 8 kilometers from Diskit we will arrive at Hundar, which is famous for barley and rye fields, fruit orchids, and sand dunes. After exploring and spending some time at Hundar we will head for Panamik on the way we will cross the Himalayan sand dunes. Panamik is a charming village with stunning backdrops and is famous for its hot water springs, which is believed to have some curative qualities. After exploring Panamik village, we will drive back towards Hunder in Nubra Valley for seeing the sights of the region. After exploring Hunder village, we will drive towards another village of Nubra Valley- Sumur, which is famed for its Samstanling Gompa. This captivating and unique village looks like an oasis in the middle of the desert. We will have scrumptious dinner and stay tonight at Sumur.
Finally, the main highlight of this jeep safari comes, the Khardung La Top, which can be reached by crossing the world's highest motorable road, Khardung La. After driving for a distance of 55 kilometers, we will halt at Khalsar for some time where you can enjoy the lunch at a fine restaurant while taking pleasure of the fabulous views of the soaring mountains. From Khardung La, we will drive downwards for about 94.5 kilometers to reach Leh- A fascinating and spectacular mountain town of Ladakh. On the way to Leh, we can stop to visit and explore the spectacular Phyang Monastery and then later check into a hotel in Leh.
After spending and experiencing so many nerve-wrenching, thrilling, and heart throbbing days, now it is the time to unwind. Today, we will be going for a pleasurable Indus Valley monastery trip. The very first stopover will be Shey, which is an ancient capital of Ladakh and is famous for its effigy of the Buddha Shakyamuni. After that, we will visit and explore the Thiksey Gompa, a notable monastery standing tall on a hill. In Thiksey Gompa, there is a huge 30-meter tall gold-plated effigy of Maitreya Buddha, 'the Buddha of the future'. The next stopover on this trip of the day will be the Hemis monastery, which is one of the richest and the biggest Gompas of Ladakh. Later, we will visit historical property the Stok Palace, the Royal abode of the King of Stok and the Museum that has a exclusive and a rich collection of antique Ladakhi artifacts including, precious stones, old Thangkas, arms& armor, the crown of the King of Ladakh and the Queen's necklace and among others artifacts you can see here. In the evening time, we will return back to Leh where we will be having delicious dinner and stay for overnight.
Today in the morning you will be transferred to the airport and from where you can board the onwards flight for Delhi.
